The lawsuit is not even about the abuse itself. Yes we were abused but its focusing more on the provinces failure to apply to the criminal injuries Compensation Board on our behalf for the abuse we experienced PRIOR to and WHILE in foster hell.

I am a member of this class action lawsuit. The suit claims the province failed to take all necessary steps to protect the rights of Crown wards to apply for compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board or to file personal injury claims for children who were abused prior to or while in the care of the Province.I am hoping to receive financial compensation. The CAS failed kids BIG TIME!

If I was "victimized" enough to be taken out of my home and put into their foster hell then each Children's Aid Society in Ontario should have made sure that each child and youth had a claim made to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

I was abused prior to going into foster care.

I was abused by my moms old boyfriend.

CAS and the group homes even admit that I was abused prior to going into foster hell CAS.

On March 11, 2013, My blood aunt and I met in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She agreed and admitted that I was abused and neglected by my mothers boyfriend and other people in Timmins, Ontario prior to going into foster hell.

Timmins and Sudbury Children's Aid Society should have made a claim on my behalf and that money should have been sitting in a bank account until I aged out of the foster hell. They failed me and so many other children and in so many ways and that is why the province of Ontario and the Children's Aid Society needs to be sued!

I am currently 26 years old and I am often depressed and unhappy. I had a Northern Youth Service worker ( A kids jail) tell me that if I ever had kids of my own that Children's Aid would take them away from me and use my past against me. I was told that they would take the child right from the hospital. 
I feel that its sneaky and manipulative and its discrimination based on a background I had no SAY.
I did not ask to be here. I suffer the consequences because of it. I am not alone.

The CAS says they are they to help and give people a life but they actually are NOT.

Children's Aid Society can take your child away NOT because of abuse or neglect but simply because you are poor and young and don't have a lot of support or simply because your a former foster kid.

This is appalling, writing, the policy is so prejudicial and evident why there are such great challenges for family unity! I am deeply ashamed Canada!

We feel like prisoners... we are prisoners... even as an adult because I was in foster care I can never have a child.

What would happen if I filed a human rights complaint with the tribunal? Any lawyers out there?

The world only has a few people who are prepared to help kids and do it for free...they are just to name a few Karen Plumridge and Lee Bolton and Brenda Everall and Carole Chretien and Lillian Christine Sorko and Velvet Martin and Jamie Sullivan and a few others...but the rest of the world...they won't help a CAS kid or former CAS kid unless they get paid to do it. Its frustrating.
